World War II Archives Open Day

Join us to explore rarely displayed photos and documents showing life at the Tower of London and the role of the Royal Fusiliers infantry regiment during World War II.

You will be able to talk to curators and archivists and go behind the scenes at the museum.

The Open Day is a collaboration between Historic Royal Palaces, Royal Armouries, the Tower's Yeoman Warder Archive and The Fusilier Museum London.

Important ticket information

Entry to the WWII Archives Open Day at the Fusilier Museum is included with a ticket to the Tower of London. 

Tower Hamlets residents can visit the Tower of London for only £1.

To take advantage of the £1 offer, Tower Hamlets residents need to bring proof of address (utility bill, council tax bill, driver’s licence etc) with them to the ticket office. Please note this offer cannot be used for event tickets such as Ceremony of the Keys.

Tickets must be purchased on the day from our ticket office for the next available timeslot. During peak times such as school holidays and events, there may be limited capacity.

Only one £1 ticket per adult can be purchased per day. Adults can purchase additional tickets for up to 3 children for £1. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

£1 tickets are also available for any anyone in receipt of the following:

  • Universal Credit
  • Working Tax Credit
  • Pension Credit
  • Employment and Support Allowance
  • Income Support
  • Jobseeker’s Allowance
